After several weeks without any visible progress, I'm pleased to reveal the next phase of the project, with the production of two new sections around La Belle Alliance containing there four Service Squadrons protecting the Emperor and two companies of Foot Artillery of the Old Guard.
1st and 2nd companies of the Foot Artillery of the Old Guard - officers, drummers, 14 guns, two howitzers, 16 limbers, 16 caissons, 14 crew per gun and six horses per limber and caisson |

It's amazing how much space artillery takes up |

ReplyDeleteAll the best. Aly
Thanks all!
ReplyDeleteVery impressive! Can't stop watching the images!
ReplyDeleteBut I have a question. If that building in the back is the last HQ of the Emperor, it is situated at the wrong side of the road.
You can find more info here: https://www.dernier-qg-napoleon.be/en/home/

Thanks Peter. The Emperor's staff are shown in front of La Belle Alliance which is correctly situated. Napoleon moved from Le Caillou to Rossomme and then to La Belle Alliance. Immediately south of La Belle Alliance is Trimotion on the opposite side of the road. South of Trimotion was Decoster's house and la Maison Rouge. Le Caillou, Rossomme, La Maison Rouge and Decoster's House are too far south to be shown on this section of the model.
