Some more staff officers

Here are a few more Allied Staff officers.  Austrian and Russian liaison officers join the group.  A tired Prussian galloper delivers a despatch.

I have put a Rose figure at the front of this group, which are mostly Hinton Hunt. I think I read somewhere that this is the oldest production figure still available.

Allied General Staff

Here are some of my Allied General Staff.  The figures are the usual mix.  The dismounted figures are mostly Strelets and LM, a manufacturer that didn't last long. There are some Italieri figures mixed up with various metal figures.  These ones are mostly Newline with another short lived producer, 20:20.

These Prussians include the classic Hinton Hunt with telescope.

Several British officers in this picture are wearing frock coats.  Certainly Wellington did so at Waterloo, but the Duke of Richmond appears to have done so too.

These Prussians are mostly Fine Scale Factory.  They appear to be waiting for someone to unfurl a map on the table

The Prince of Orange is Hinton Hunt.  The Staff Corps galloper is Les Higgins.  The dismounted officer is Qualicast.

Chasseurs a Cheval of the Guard

The bulk of these Chasseurs are the Revell figures to which I have added pelisses.  The officers are a mix of Art Miniaturen, Kamar and Kennington.  

This trumpeter is Lamming.

I have used the Waterloo 1815 Prince of Orange as another officer

Red Lancers

The 2nd Dutch Lancers of the Guard were hardly Dutch by 1815 with some of their former ranks serving on the other side.  Their informal title of the Red Lancers was a better name for this colourful regiment.

My figures are again a mixture.  The bulk are the Esci set, reinforced by some Mars figures a few Kennington, S Range and Strelets.   I have also taken some liberties with some Strelets and Emhar Crimean figures: the Czapska is a more tapered shape, but with a plume and some painting they are passable.

5th Belgian Light Dragoons

I painted these 5th Belgian Light Dragoons before realising I had mistakenly put them all in officers' shakos.  Never mind, I will change this when I can get round to it.

The figures are all conversions of various origins.

Wrong hat or not, I rather like them.

Prussian Artillery

It's hard to get good plastic Prussian artillery and I haven't yet got round to painting the Hat set despite it being one of their oldest.  So I have converted the Zvezda Russian set and given them Prussian heads.  I have one AM team, which is nicely dramatic with the lead right horse going down.  I also have a few Hinton Hunt.

Men in Grey Coats

I have assembled my Napoleons.  I obviously have no need for more than one, but have nevertheless ended up with quite a number.  A little similar to an Elvis convention.  I need to decide which one gets to go on the diorama.  I can't remember where all the figures came from, but the Napoleon in the Chasseur's Undress is a converted Preiser railwayman in a bicorn.  The others are, I think, Qualicast, Kennington, Italieri, Strelets, S Range and Legio.
